“Why do you want to learn Fashion Designing?” Or Should I ask “Why you want to become a Fashion Designer?

What do you want to do -Do you know? What is your destination? Where do you want to reach?

You should know all these things before you start with your Career. Yes, you should have at least some information, if not more. Like- If you want to start your business from the right beginning after the completion of Fashion Designing course or would you like to develop your skills under any Designer of your choice and your interest? Would you like to work in a Boutique or Join an Export Company? You can ask many more questions similar to these before you decide to step ahead.

Hello friends, I am going to share few things which may be beneficial for you.

So let’s start with this topic “Why do you want to do Fashion Designing?”

Friends, there are many Fashion Institutes in our India, out of which a few Institutes are considered very good and yes they are. It is not possible for everyone to get admission in these institutes because they have many criterias and there is limitation of seats too. Let us not count the reasons. But no doubt they serve the best teachings comparison of the other small Institutes opening then and now. Either its Knowledge, Training or Techniques one can find better in these institutes if compared to other Institutes. Please DO make a NOTE, I am only talking and referring Indian Institute but if you talk about abroad, you will get a lot of very good Institutes. Right now I am writing this article for all those people who are living in that corner of India, where good Institutes are not available or difficult to search and due to some reasons one cannot reach a good Institute, so let’s start.

If your goal is clear about what you want to do then you will be focused on paying more attention, improving and gaining knowledge about the skills you need to start with. Let me give you some examples that might make you understand better.

As we all are aware of the Fashion Industry and it’s vast branches. This is the sea where every time a new creature is found. Wherever you dive, you will get to learn something new or old. If you are curious then this sea is for you. Get ready to swim in and explore. There is a lot of area and scope here, provided you know how and when to use it. 

For example -#CostumeDesign #AccessoriesDesign #Appareldesign #HauteCouture  #Shoedesign #Formalwear #Sportswear #AvantGarde #Innerwear #Readytowear #BespokeClothing / #Custommade #Textile #Embroiderydesign #PatternMaking #Contentwriting for Clothing Brands #Merchandising #Marketing #Styling and list goes on.. These all comes under Fashion. Now, Hope you understand why I mentioned all those above and yes that’s not an end. This industry has got deep dense branches where you are free to choose your career of your choice after Studying Fashion Designing. And yes, do remember these branches have many more Sub branches or fortunately you may find a root too. Good Luck.

What do you want to do? What are you interested in? What do you think? Comment and give your opinion. Do you want to move forward by choosing specific work and category or taking everything with you? Which will be very difficult, because each field has different needs, requirements and skills associated with it requires different way of working. It is good to learn everything, but practically with fact, becoming an expert in everything is a very time consuming task. Well now you can say or think “What is there new that I am talking about? Everyone knows it takes time to learn something. Yes, something 🙂 but everything?
